The building shaped like the “A” in Aomori
Aomori’s tourism and regional products hub, ASPAM in Aomori City, stands out for its triangular exterior shaped like the “A” in Aomori. Inside are shops selling specialties from across Aomori Prefecture and restaurants where you can experience local flavors and crafts during your trip.
Explore the building’s large atrium and the shops on each floor to enjoy tourist information, shopping, and dining all in one place. Located near Aomori Station, it is a convenient stop for gathering information after arrival or choosing souvenirs before you leave.
Views of Aomori Bay Bridge and Hakkōda-maru from the observation deck
From the observation deck on the 13 floor, you can take in Aomori Bay Bridge and the Hakkōmaru moored in the harbor.
The building also houses the Blue Forest Hall digital theater with 360°, offering a visual experience different from that of the observation deck. Combining the observation deck and theater lets you experience Aomori’s harbor and nature in a more three-dimensional way.

- Theater only: adults 700 yen, elementary, junior high, and high school students 300 yen
- Theater and observation deck combination: adults 900 yen, elementary, junior high, and high school students 400 yen
⚠️ Adults are aged 19 or older; elementary, junior high, and high school students are aged 6 to 18. Children aged 6 or younger cannot watch 3D films in the theater.

- The theater takes about 15 minutes. If you also visit the observation deck and product shop, allow approximately 45 minutes to 1 hours30 minutes.⚠️ The time varies depending on crowd levels, screening start times, time spent shopping and dining, and which facilities you visit.
Access to Aomori Prefectural Tourism and Products Center ASPAM
From central Aomori, leave JR Aomori Station through the East Exit, turn left, and walk under the Aomori Bay Bridge; it takes about 8 minutes on foot. From Shin-Aomori Station, take the Ōu Main Line to JR Aomori Station—1 station and about 6 minutes—then use the same walking route from the East Exit. By car, it takes about 15 minutes from the Aomori-Chūō Interchange on the Aomori Expressway. The general paid parking lot is open 24 hours a day, usually has 150 spaces, and costs 1 hours 220 yen including tax. Parking discounts are also available depending on the amount spent inside.
