Highlights of the Arizona Memorial

Memorial commemorating the attack on Pearl Harbor

USS Arizona Memorial
The USS Arizona Memorial commemorates the victims of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. It tells the history of the battleship Arizona and her crew. The white memorial structure and tranquil seascape are striking, creating a place for quiet reflection on history.

The exhibits and memorial spaces trace the history of the battleship Arizona and the sacrifice of its crew. Looking out over the water from inside the building brings the memorial to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the present-day landscape into the same view.

The Sunken Battleship Arizona and the Sea Surface

The water above the battleship Arizona beside the Arizona Memorial
Oil leaking from the sunken battleship Arizona still floats on the water. The traces of oil on the surface reveal that the hull remains beneath the sea. Scars of war linger in the tranquil waters viewed from the memorial.
