About Oahu Island
Although Oʻahu is the 3rd-largest island in the Hawaiian Islands after Hawaiʻi Island and Maui, 70% of the population is concentrated there. The Gathering Placeis what it is called.

Honolulu, centered around Waikiki and Downtown, is a major city lined with skyscrapers, yet a short drive takes you to dramatic natural scenery.the coexistence of city and natureis what makes Oahu so appealing.
Construction is progressing in Honolulu on a railway known as Skyline. A partial section opened on June 30, 2023, and the 2nd section, including Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, opened on October 16, 2025. An extension to the downtown area is planned from 2031 onward.
