Highlights of the Caledonian Sleeper
The sleeper train connecting London and Scotland
The Caledonian Sleeper (is a sleeper train connecting London with cities across Scotland).
The United Kingdom has 2 major railway arteries running through England and Scotland: the East Coast Main Line and the West Coast Main Line. The Caledonian Sleeper runs along the West Coast Main Line. Its London terminal is Euston Station.
The terminal railway stations in London are introduced in detail in the article below.

British railway 92-type “Caledonian Sleeper”

It was designed as a locomotive for hauling freight trains and passenger coaches and is used by British railway companies such as GB Railfreight.

Caledonian Sleeper is operated by Serco, while GB Railfreight (GBRf) is an important partner.

In ancient Roman times, Scotland was called Caledonia. Like "Scottish", "Caledonian" means “a Scot” or “Scottish”.
Incidentally, there is a country called New Caledonia, which is said to have been named by the British maritime explorer Captain Cook because its landscape reminded him of Scotland.

The Caledonian Sleeper’s symbol is inspired by the red deer found in Scotland.
The Caledonian Sleeper experience
From here, we take you inside the train we travelled on from London to Scotland in a "Club Room" with a private shower and toilet. Through photos, we follow the distinctive facilities and experience of an overnight train, from the locomotive, cabins, bedding and amenities to breakfast.

The rooms on the Caledonian Sleeper are broadly divided into "Classic Rooms" and "Club Rooms"; this is an example of a "Club Room". Differences include whether a private shower and toilet are provided and whether breakfast is included.

There is a space by the pillow for placing your phone.

It is a combined shower and toilet. Water pressure varies considerably depending on the time of day. As it is particularly weak at night, it may be better to use it soon after boarding or the following morning.

When you open the lid of the seat installed in the shower room, a toilet appears. As expected, there were periods when it was not possible to flush the toilet.

Shampoo, body wash and other amenities. Eye masks, earplugs and bottled water were also provided.

Fill in the door card with the breakfast menu, whether you will have breakfast in your room (In room) or in the Lounge Car, the breakfast time and, if needed, the time for a morning call.within 30 minutes of boardingYou must hang it on the door handle.

When I woke up, the idyllic British countryside stretched out beyond the train window.

This is a traditional British breakfast, an “English Breakfast”. On the Caledonian Sleeper, it is served under the menu name “Highland Breakfast”. The round, black item is black pudding, a type of sausage made primarily from pig’s blood.
